As part of its first public health initiative, the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America* is proud to offer you a free exercise risk assessment!
Prior to beginning any form of regular exercise, it is very important to understand any and all exercise risks that you may have, so that you can safely engage in regular exercise without compromising your health. The first step in completing and understanding your exercise risks is to complete AFAA's Fitness Triage®.
Fitness Triage® is a 32-item questionnaire that is designed to identify your exercise risk status. Simply complete the questionnaire accurately and the system will automatically analyze the data using AFAA's patented Fitness Triage® software and display your results using a color-coded classification system:
RED (stop) - We strongly suggest that you seek professional health care advice and a physician's clearance before attempting any physical activity as the information that you provided suggests temporary or chronic conditions that are exercise risk factors
YELLOW (caution) - After having received clearance from your physician, please proceed with caution as the information that you have provided signifies that you may have one or more temporary or chronic conditions that might indicate an exercise risk factor.
GREEN (go) - Based on the information that you have provided there appears to be no evidence of any significant exercise risk factors.
